NBA Playoff

I’ve been watching NBA Playoff from last 4 yrs.
First 3yrs it was interesting as LA Lakers were playing.
But this year it was not much exciting as before.

Finally, I did register my own domain name.
Here are the things that inspired me to go far it:

• It was on sale for $4.98/year on Yahoo, which seems to be good deal.
• It’s easier to promote your blog.
• I can add following line in email signature: also available on web: www.sagarmitkari.com
• I get an email address as sagar@sagarmitkari.com which redirects to sagarmitkari@yahoo.com .
• There is no point being anonymous as you can get persons phone & mail address by just typing his name in Google. The thing I was worried about.

Living the Moments

You have imagined that,
One day you will get married;
Soon your wife will become pregnant;
In evening you will be seating on sofa, Watching a TV…
Suddenly the baby will start kicking.

Well, Guess what? It’s happening…Baby is kicking a lot and I can feel it from outside.
Thou you got to be very patience & quiet; while listening to the movements.

On Scientific note, After 5 months baby can hear the outside things.
No wonder, Abhimanyu heard all about Chakravyuh while he was inside the womb.That was the story I heard.

Now we are concered about, what will be the impact on our baby as we are watching too much hollywood movies ?

Who is He ?

It happen to be one of my classmate friend has operated on my Father.
Now the thing is, I am not able to re-collect him in my memory by his name;
What more awful is, I spoke with him on the phone
and I am still not able to figure it out "Who is he?"
To make the matter more complicated, I can’t acknowledge that I don’t know him as it will look inappropriate.

What is encouraging is, Some People do remember me after all these years.

Well, Thats was "Summer'05" On the Sand.If you are trying to read.
A Point to note is "It's very difficult to write on Sea shore sand,
b'coz sea waves will erase it as soon as you write next word"

The Terminal

The thing about Tom Hanks is, He makes his own world in any given situation. Same thing he did in "Cast Away" and same here in "The Terminal".
Only difference is in Cast Away he was alone, where in The Terminal he is surrounded by people.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

In India the show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" is telecasted on Friday
but here in the US its on Monday 7:00 pm.
While it refreshes you for sometime,
When the song selection is good and singers are well tuned.

But for me, It reminds me that the Big Day Monday is gone and still 3 days need to go!

Thank God It's Friday

Did you know that there is one restaurant chain named TGI Fridays?
Which stands for "Thank God It’s Friday". What an appropriate name!
Also there is one comedy movie named "Thank God It's Friday" made in 1978.

I have noticed that the Day Friday has psychological impression on people.
People seem to be very happy & relaxed, exactly opposite of Sunday evening.

Speaking of TGI Fridays, If you are Veggie then better stay way from it
unless you can feed yourself with Golden French Fries and Green Salad.

SudoKu

Heard of this word before? Me neither until I read this article on rediff.
During my daily bus commute, The Transit Company provides NY Daily Post as complimentary read and I have been seeing Sudoku table since few days. But I wasn’t aware that this has already become a craze in India.

So what is Sudoku ?
Sudoku is a number puzzle. Its Originated in Japan. Sudoku consists of a 9x9 grid, further divided into a 3x3 subgrid with a few numbers thrown in.
Challenge is to fill each of the blank boxes in the rows, columns and 3x3 squares with digits from one to nine without repeating a single digit.

In search of better Web Hosting Service & Domain

I’ve been seriously thinking of buying my own domain name.
So that it would be easily accessible for others; also it looks professional.
If you have a professional domain name, then you can easily promote your web site
By advertising the name on your cars license number plate, visiting card.

Well, first I need to figure out what the domain name should I have?
That itself is a million dollar question !
My name sagar.com and sagar.net has already been taken.
Now I need to come up with such a name, the way Google, Yahoo & Apple came up.
Something like orange.com ... thou I like Oranges a lot.
It’s like naming your first born baby.

Putting Face to Name

Many times you speak with person on phone; you work with them for months.
You create/sketch your own image of the person in your mind from his way of talking, way of writing.

Suddenly one fine day, you happen to see the person in reality or in picture and at that moment the image in your mind is totally erased. Now you have this real actual image, which is far away from what you’ve thought of. Does that make a difference in way of thinking? May be!

In previous organization, I could see the picture of person in online phone directory before I make a phone call. Now it’s another story that many times, picture gives a wrong impression of the person than they are!

As the advertisers try to promote their stuff; Occasionally near Grand Central & Penn Station you get a really good nice stuff. Today was the Tropicana Morning.
As its getting Hot’ in here, People are giving up on morning coffee and enjoying cold fruit juice.
To accompany with Tropicana Orange juice they also gave away “The New York Times”.

Certainly, it was Tropicana Morning !

Beating the Amber Light

It became my pleasure since the childhood to beat the Amber Traffic Light.
Incase if I miss it, then I was the first person ahead among the traffic when it turns Green.
That was the Yamaha RX-100 and now a days Its a Honda Accord that’s helping me out.
I’ve been enjoying this fun specially, when I have to cross 9 traffic light to reach the main market.

Google AdSense

That was surprising !
I wasn't thinking my blog will get approval from Google AdSense.
Is it a case that they approve anybody's application ?

Random Observations

It’s been almost 6 months I have been commuting thru Bus and here are my findings:

If you think no one is watching you while you are inside the car, beware that passing bus’s passenger can easily peek inside your car.

Nothing new in this, That 50% drivers are using cell phone while driving out of that 30% using Handset & 20% using Hands-Free.

Backseat of cars are mostly occupied with Maps, Napkins and Garbage.

As you move closer & closer towards Manhattan, you see increase in no of luxury cars.
Some of them are Porsche, Benz, BMW & Infiniti.

Well, If you haven’t noticed that 2005 is almost half gone. It’s already June and I've noticed this when I saw many Ad Billboards are showing following lines around Lincoln tunnel & Times Square.

Sad thing is it takes 3hrs of day to get in & out of Manhattan on a normal day.

Something about Shruti !

When we first met my friend’s 18 months old daughter Shruti,
We’ve observed something surprising,
She was a very Quick learner, Quiet, Independent, Tech savvy & Predictor at that age.
When I say Quiet, I meant no crying after getting up from sleep.
When I say Independent, I meant she could feed herself by spoon without making a mess.
When I say Tech Savvy, I meant she has attraction of computers & mobiles. She could hold a mobile handset on her ear for hours waiting for the call.
Even my Friend joked of opening a Call Center for her.
When I say Predictor, I meant as my friend was asking her what my wife gonna have
She said “Boooaay” and It happens to be True!
It’s different story that he gave her only one choice and she repeated it after him.
