Pune MNC's

Here is another big investment 'Plan' thats flowing into Pune thru Microsoft. According to Maharashtra IT secretary "Microsoft is expected to invest around Rs 1,000 crore for setting up its development centre by end of 2006"

Pune already hosts major MNC's like Infosys, Wipo, Satyam, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Accenture only Microsoft & Oracle was missing. I am looking forward for the day when ORACLE opens its Development Center in Pune.

On Another Note, It would be interesting to see that small Town like Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur and Amravati which are considered as Tier II and III cities are being prompted by Maharashtra State Govt. to multinational IT companies by offering free land.

This one's for you, dad

Tiger Wood and His Father is the best example of ‘Father & Son Bonding’.
You rarely get to see such raw emotional footage on the field of Golf.

The British Open is the Tiger Woods' first win since his father's death couple of months ago following a long battle with cancer.

The winner cried like he's never cried before after tapping in the final putt. He said "All these emotions just came pouring out and all the things that my father has meant to me and the game of golf, I just wish he could have seen it one more time"

Unfortunately, Woods wasn't the only one dealing with a loss. DiMarco finished two strokes back and struggled to hold back the tears as he remembered his mother, Norma, who died suddenly from a heart attack while vacationing on the Fourth of July.

Sometime, The Game is 'Not Just a Game'...It means lot at a time.

PC vs. Mac

I’m loving these PC vs. Mac ads

Without getting into the debate of PC vs. MAC, If I had lots of money I would definitely have Mac in my toys collection.

Globe Trekker - Ian Wright

I am sure, most of you might have come across this guy "Ian Wright", while watching Discovery Channel.

He hosts the Globe Trekker show while traveling around the world. He is pretty cool guy with his witty comments and amusing interactions with locals; he makes show interesting.

While reading Marathi Sakal News Paper, I found that he has been specially invited by Princess Bhargavi of Mewar. Sakal News paper has declared him as "Bhatakya".

According to him "Comforts don't interest him," he says. "The sort of trips I go on are all about living cheap and getting dirty which is how I like it."

I found one of his interesting interview here
He was asked one question "When you go places, do you look for the fun factor? Do you look for something that makes you go, wow? "

His Answer was " Yes and no, Mainly the things that make you go wow are the things that are unpredictable and things that you never thought about. I mean, when I traveled around India on me own before the show or whatever, I realize that in India you get the wow factor through the Taj Mahal, which is phenomenal, but the real India, you just sit on the road for a week and watch the world go by and your mind will be blown."

Getting Somewhere...!

According to the World Bank GDP Research
"India has emerged as the 12th wealthiest nation in the world with its GDP touching $785.47 billion or Rs 35,34,615 crore in 2005" .

Obviously, US tops the List followed by Japan with $4.51trillion and Germany $2.78 trillion.

And I say "Not Bad, We are getting Somewhere."

FRA or ITA ?

So, I am Betting on France for the 2006 World Cup.

Knowingly or Unknowingly, This world cup got interesting one, specially due to the Match Timing. I could watch few exciting matches between POR - ENG, FRA - BRA and the most exciting was ITA – GER where ITA scored 2 Goals in last 2 minutes.

Ultimately it all comes down on 1 Goal and few Penalty Kicks which makes and breaks dreams.

Laundry Day

So far in entire stay in the US, this is the first time I’ve to go out side for the Laundry. I’ve always given preference to apartments where they have inside Laundry Unit. But sometime you got to compromise on few things for another.

The thing about Laundry is, I always felt a burden until I am done with it. There is another big burden that comes after is the Ironing. I miss those days, when all I have to do is open the closet and wear a crisply ironed dress.

For now, I don’t have to think about Laundry for next two weeks until its starts piling up again.
