Dhingana.com

I was directed to this site by my brother while he was recommending "Diwas Ase Ki" Marathi album. After spending sometime on this site, I found that its very user friendly with clean, crystal clear sound having all those new web 2.0 features like SmartList, Tagging, Instant searching (DhinganaAssist) developed by bunch of engineers.

As name suggest, This site is mainly Marathi oriented with huge inventory of Hindi songs. Certainly, I will use this site when I feel like listening original "Dhagala Lagli kal" or "Mi Dolkar" or to keep updated with latest Marathi trends.

Those Guitar Notes !

There are some songs that bring back the old memories of my guitar playing experience, which I tried to learn during those days. One of a song among them is “Isthara Ashiqi Ka” from Imtihaan, which was playing on television today and suddenly I was lost in those Guitar notes for a moment. Felt like grabbing that Guitar and playing it, But it wasn’t there.

Speaking of 'Imtihaan' movie; It has some of the most romantic songs of 90's for ex the lovely "Do Baatein Ho Sakti Hai".

Bollywood’s Children song

Somehow our little one loves music; particularly bollywood songs and so far his favorite songs are from “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”. He hints by clapping his hand when he wants to listen 'Pal Pal Har Pal' song.

After repeatedly playing these songs from many days he got bored and so did we. Therefore I thought to find out songs that he will enjoy. I could hardly find more than five songs that could be counted as children’s song made in bollywood which has enjoyable music. Those are

Lakdi Ki Kathi from Masoom (1983)
Chanda Chamke from Fanaa (2006)
Mere Paas Aao from Mr.Natwarlal (1979)

I still remember I loved ‘Lakdi Ki kathi’ most in my childhood days.
Unlike bollywood I did find many songs in Marathi known as "Bala Geete" including most popular
"Mamachya Gaavala Javooya"
"Zuk Zuk Aagin Gadee"
"Naach Re Mora"

Insearch of Music

Every often and then, I visit MusicIndiaOnline to check out the latest music out there. I put on my headphones and forget about time. This time around I found few promising songs out of these albums.

• 'Mitwa' From KANK
• 'Aage Peeche' From GolMaal
• 'Tum Jo Mile' From Ahista Ahista

Revisited 'Summer of 69' Song

Something about this "Summer of 69" Song, that takes my breath away. Every now and often, I listen this song it refreshes the mood and rides back into memory lane.

Yesterday, surprisingly I found the Hinglish (Hindi) version of the song by Antaragni. I found this one much melodious than the original because of smooth background music of flute & violin.

And oh by the way…The Song has nothing to do with Summer of 69, In fact Bryan was just 9 Yr old in 69.

You can find out more facts about "Summer of 69" here.

Jeevan Kya Hai

'Jeevan Kya Hai'...? Well, thats title of Jagjit Singh's new Ghazal album. For me, First time after marriage, I am listening Music - Gazals...Quiet for a Sunday evening...

"Ek Kami thi...Taj Mahal Main
Humne Teri Tasbir Laga Di

Jhoom Ke Jab Rindon... Pila Di "

Tuned into

I have one confession to make,
first time in life, I've paid for music and that is $5.99 for Socha Na Tha Audio CD.
After watching a movie, the songs were still poping up in my mind, sometime in mid-night,sometime in bathroom so finally I've decided to buy the CD.
All the 8 Tracks are amazing.
It starts with
1.Yara Rab - feels like I'm in Himachal Pradesh.
2.Zindagi - feels like I'm in Mumbai.
3.Abhi Abhi - feels like I'm in Goa.

Summer of 69

After long time, I have pluged into i-Pod, and this is what I tuned into.I must admit my iPod obsession is going away...
